4 Exciting Changes to The National Education Show 2019!

  1. We’ve re-vamped our style
We’ve taken all the best parts of our original brand and revamped so we’re slicker, more colourful and easier on the eye. Our new branding is rolling out gradually onto all of our brochures, social media pages and all of our communications. We love it, and hope that you do too!
  2. Incorporating the SEN Show for 2019!
The NES Team aim to make our event as beneficial, inclusive and accessible for as many types of teaching and non-teaching staff that we possibly can – which is why this year we will be incorporating the brand new National SEN Show at the event in October.
Alongside our mainstream school seminars, we have also introduced a selection of seminars designed for SEN/ALN settings, or the SEN coordinators within your organisation. Parents or carers of children with SEN or ALN are welcome to join in on the day too, with a fantastic selection of exhibitors also offering solutions, products and supplies for the SEN/ALN sector.
  3.  Welcome to our new director.
At the NES office, we would like to welcome our new director to the team, Einir A Williams!
Einir has over 14 years’ experience in teaching within a Primary School setting, having taken many teaching and acting headteacher roles in North Wales. She has now joined us in Cardiff and has been working closely with the show for the past three years, and we can’t wait to build the show further with her knowledge and experience. Einir is also a first-language Welsh speaker, and heads up all of our Welsh language communication within the office, which has inspired us to expand to a 2nd venue in Conwy for 2021! Which brings us to our next point…
  4. We’re taking The National Education Show to North Wales!
In June 2021, The National Education Show will be breaking new ground and travelling up to North Wales for a brand new and exciting event in Conwy. Following on from our success in Cardiff, we wanted to extend the fantastic opportunity for education professionals in other parts of Wales. The team are also passionate about promoting and maintaining the Welsh language and – thanks to the driving force of Einir A Williams – we feel this is a fantastic time to take this big step into pastures new.Further details of our event in Conwy will be available very soon, but if you would like to know more about any of these important changes, please get in touch with us today!

We have a range of sizes and prices above, a great way of advertising an ongoing offer, or a new product.

The NES Wall Calendar will also be handed out to all delegates on the day, as an insert inside their brochures on the day. Many of these calendars will end up in staff rooms and education offices throughout Wales and the rest of the UK – with the potential of being seen by many potential customers.
We have space on the border for companies to advertise, whether that be a simple logo, or a small advert about the company. This option is very popular with our exhibitors, so spaces will fill up quickly!

We also have space still available for some of out other sponsorship packages, including leaflet inserts, a blog on our website, or having your logo printed on our delegate lanyards and on our registration desk.

Five Reasons Exhibiting at The NES Will Benefit Your Business!

It’s just five months until The National Education Show hits Cardiff, and our exhibition stands are being snapped up fast!

We’ve had some fantastic organisations already confirm their space at The National Education Show including Cornerstones Education, Welsh Books Council, NASUWT, Ben Q, and a whole load more. We can’t wait to meet them in October, along with our other 135+ exhibitors!

Still on the fence over taking that step and booking a stand with us for the 25th October? Well, hopefully your decision will be made that little bit easier after you read five of the many reasons you should be exhibiting at the event!

  1. Advertisement/Exposure
The National Education Show is the ideal occasion to advertise your brand and gain exposure within nationwide businesses, schools and other educational institutions from all around the UK. The visitors to this event will be key decision makers within their institutions, hoping to get ideas and inspiration to improve their standards of education – and they’ll be making big decisions on the day! Missing out on the event could potentially mean missing out on a lot of quality conversations.

  2. Collecting Data
There’ll be plenty of opportunities to collect valuable data on the day, and The NES will also be collecting visitor data which will be available to purchase after the event. Data is crucial to develop a large and useful customer database and implement strong marketing campaigns through email or telephone. Using data from the event will assure that your contacts all have a united interest and actively partake in networking and events attendance –  in this circumstance it would be within the education sector.

  3. Assessing the Competition
“What are they doing, that we aren’t?” Might be a question you’ve been asking yourself about your brand. Well, there’s no better way of assessing that than watching how other companies communicate with the visitors, how they explain their products and the ways they grab the attention of passers by. Use the event as an opportunity to study and assess how your competitors work, and how you can take extra steps to get above them.

  4. Practicing Your Own Pitch
You can then use this new knowledge gained from watching other companies to practice your own pitching style, working out what works for your brand and what doesn’t. Direct marketing is a practiced skill which, once cracked, can expose your company to masses of new opportunities and connections. Exhibiting at big events such as The NES will give your staff the confidence to communicate your product in the best way possible.

  5. Introducing Yourself and Your Product to a New Audience.
This could finally be the opportunity your brand has been waiting for – a chance to be introduced into a new audience. Many businesses we’ve spoken to would love to expose their product to the education sector due to their clear relation to each other (e.g Printing Services, Waste Disposal, Recruitment, Catering)  – but they are unsure of how to approach it. The National Education Show is supplying them with exactly that – a gateway into the education sector and an opportunity to expand their product to new avenues.

With so many different reasons to exhibit – what are you waiting for? The National Education Show has so many benefits to your business it would be a shame to miss out on such a brilliant opportunity.

Every year, our most popular stand choices at NES are always corner shell scheme stands and table tops. So it’s no surprise that we’re almost completely sold out of these two types of stands – with just 4 corners and 8 tables remaining!

Table tops are the most affordable way of attending the show as an exhibitor, at just £799+vat. Corner stands allow your shell scheme to be open on two sides rather than one, which means your stand is more accessible and visible to a higher number of people walking past. These are priced at £999+vat, and can be upgraded to include lights and electricity for just £100 extra.

If you have your sights set on one of these stands, they will only be available for the next few weeks. They are already in very high demand, with companies reserving these locations daily.

Take a look at what stands remain below.

If you were considering joining us at Wales’ biggest education show and exhibition, please get in touch at your earliest convenience to reserve a space.

7 Ways CPOMS is improving safeguarding practice

Child protection software CPOMS is used by over a third of all schools in the UK now as a method of recording and monitoring child protection, safeguarding and wider pastoral care for children. There are numerous reasons why designated safeguarding leads and SLT have adopted this, but the main advantages are listed here:

  1. Chronologies

Gone are the days when building a chronology for a child involves four filing cabinets, three emails on two different accounts and a post-it note. A chronology for any individual or even across the school can be produced instantly.

Number of schools using CPOMS (at time of writing): 9358

  1. Communication

Instead of running around school with sensitive information on a piece of paper, email alerts go directly to the relevant member of staff at their usual school email address. You can even see when each member of staff has read each entry, for extra peace of mind. Appropriate users can also see exactly what actions have occurred as a result.

  1. Movement between schools

When children transfer to your school or out to their next school, their full child protection history will move automatically through CPOMS (once consent has been given). If the other schools don’t have CPOMS, you can either upload everything when a child joins, or download everything easily from CPOMS to pass onto the next school.

Number of UK Local Authorities where over 50% of schools use CPOMS: 55

  1. Governor reports

A full set of reporting tools allow you to press a couple of buttons to find some very specific information on incidents in school, based on the exact categories you are required to report on.

  1. File alerts

Instead of taking a register of staff names and asking everyone to sign when they have read your safeguarding policy or most recent training documents, you can send out an alert and see exactly if and when each member of staff has had the time to read it.

Average number of schools signing up for CPOMS each week: 81

  1. All in one place

UPN, attendance, DOB – the details that crop up on different forms and submissions to outside agencies are all in CPOMS, so you don’t have to use many different systems to fill in one piece of paper.

  1. Uniformity

Staff in school are constantly being told to write down key details about safeguarding incidents. Who is writing it? When did the incident occur? Who else was involved? All the necessary fields are either automatically added or included in the form itself so that all staff can easily add high-quality and useful safeguarding information.

When so much time is saved and so much “just makes sense”, it’s clear to see why so many schools use CPOMS and why so many more are signing up. If you’d like to learn more about how you can improve your school safeguarding, visit and book a demonstration, or read 100+ testimonials to find more reasons why it is becoming so popular.
