STOMP-Style Body Percussion – Beat Goes On

Following on from last year’s sold out workshop, Ollie from Beat Goes On returns with a session that will get the room buzzing with body percussion warm ups, group composition activities and the development of literacy skills through body percussion.

This session will be fun and suitable for all, regardless of prior musical experience.

About the Speaker:

Ollie Tunmer

Director Beat Goes On

‘Ollie is a former cast member of the hit show STOMP and a qualified teacher.  He has been delivering workshops since 2001 for the education, corporate and community music sectors. He gained a BMus (Hons) from Kingston University and later a PGCE in Secondary Music from Canterbury Christ Church University. Ollie is now the Director of Beat Goes On, who deliver percussion workshops and CPD sessions throughout the UK.  He is also in demand abroad, presenting at the Latin American Heads Conference in São Paulo, with British Schools in the Middle East, COBIS and the King’s Group in Spain.

Ollie has embarked on creative collaborations, including with literacy specialist Pie Corbett.  As well as leading professional development sessions for music specialists, BGO also promote the use of music as a means of encouraging well-being, for both individuals and school communities. Beat Goes On sessions are suitable for all, regardless of prior musical experience.’
