About this Seminar:

Using WJEC resources to develop skills

An introduction to the new digital materials on the WJEC resources website that have been developed specifically to promote learners’ skills. The presentation will raise awareness of the newest packages and offer ideas about their use in the classroom.
It will also address the importance of item level data and how it can be used to help identify the strengths and weaknesses of learners’ skills as well as considering the information available from the Online Exam Review (OER) units as well as a detailed presentation on the use of the Questions Bank resource to provide a range of questions that will help to develop skills.

About the Speaker:

Mike Ebbsworth and Dafydd Watcyn Williams

Assistant Director of Education Resources WJEC

Following 18 years as a Science teacher and Head of Physics at Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari, Mike Ebbsworth joined WJEC in 2007 as Education Resources Development Officer.
His role has developed considerably over ten years and he is now Assistant Director of Education Resources involved with the creation of resources to support all specifications offered by WJEC. He loves the creative nature of his work, and has run many seminars for numerous audience on how best to use familiar software to produce effective classroom resources.
